Lake Cable Recreation Association (LCRA)

This association is a group of Lake Cable property owners. The LCRA owns and maintains the lake, clubhouse, common areas around the lake and an adjoining shopping center. The purpose of the association is to maintain Lake Cable properties and recreation opportunities available to LCRA members. Membership in the association is open to all property owners in the Lake Cable allotment, but is not mandatory. There are normally between 400 and 500 members in the LCRA.

Properties owned by the Association include a 20,000 square foot clubhouse on the southern shore of the lake, and an adjoining beach. The LCRA also owns the picturesque Lake Cable Shopping Center, the oldest shopping center in Ohio.

LCRA members are also eligible to join a wide range of LCRA clubs like the Sportsman's Club, Women's Club, Garden Club, Retirees Club, Fish Club and more where members can enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded residents. Social gatherings are scheduled throughout the year.

There are three levels of membership available in the LCRA:

  • Full Member: Open to all property owners in the Lake Cable allotment

  • Associate Member: Open to children of LCRA members above the age of 25, but still living at home.

  • Beach Member: Open to people who live outside the Lake Cable allotment who wish to enjoy the Lake Cable beach throughout the summer.
